About the Lower Perk Longhorns Cheer Program

Practices

Competitive-level cheerleaders, ages 10 and up, practice 4 nights per week (Monday-Thursday) in August and then 2 or 3 nights after Labor Day.  Non-competitive level cheerleaders, ages 5 to 9, practice 2 or 3 nights per week in August and then 1 or 2 nights per week after Labor Day. The practice times are dependent upon daylight, coaches availability and gym availability. The practices generally run 90 minutes to 120 minutes depending on the age of the children.
